Free eBook: Alcohol Can Be a Gas!

Posted on June 9, 2026June 11, 2026 By permaculture_w4xfq4

Many of you know me, David Blume, as a revolutionary farmer, an alternative energy expert, and an annoying but effective troublemaker speaking truth to power. Lately I have been consulting around the world helping people solve problems in a way that creates lasting systems small and great. I like that work and look forward to much more of it.

In that spirit, I’m giving my Kindle electronic book away for free. The hard and softcover versions of Alcohol Can Be a Gas! have already been sold to tens of thousands of people, mostly in the U.S. That’s because the hardcover book weighs in at 8 lbs (3.62 kilos). Shipping it anywhere out of the USA costs $100 or more. I want to see the book show up all over the planet. An eBook edition makes that possible.

Why now? I’m inordinately fond of this planet, its creatures and people. Now that I’m 70 years young, getting the book out everywhere it can do some good is more important to me than making a little money on every single book. R. Buckminster Fuller, one of my heroes and the author of the foreword to my book, put it best. “Make the world work for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone.”

I meet many other passionate people around the world who also work hard solving problems, and I want them to have this resource and tell others they can have it, too. As a Permaculturist, trained and certified by its founder, Bill Mollison himself, I especially want to make my book available to every teacher and student of permaculture planet-wide.

The book giveaway dates will be announced via my mailing list. Sign up below! My eBook distributor only permits a limited number of days that I can declare a free download.

If you find my book useful and inspiring, then forward the next giveaway dates to your car mechanics, farmers, peace corps volunteers, college professors, high school teachers and their students, social activists, blacksmiths, welders, contractors, bloggers, librarians, relatives, inventors, investors, venture capitalists, podcasters, organizer/activists of all sorts, staff of Congress critters, prime ministers, ministers of agriculture, energy, environment, & well, actually any ministers, including those of your religion, and anyone else, anywhere in the world, who you want to be inspired and encouraged to care about the planet and its residents. I’m doing my part. What comes next is up to you.

To make sure you always know the dates we’ll be giving Alcohol Can Be a Gas! away, sign up for our mailing list and we’ll keep you informed.
